Gather to kick off the celebrations in the Masin Room, our new humanities classroom located in the Seaport's recently opened Thompson Exhibition Building. Hear the latest updates on Williams-Mystic from Executive Director Tom Van Winkle.

Stop by to pick up your weekend packet. Sign up for whaleboat or sailing races while you're here. 

Swag Sales and Central Information

10:00 am-7:00 pm, tent outside the Boat Shed

Show your support for Williams-Mystic everywhere you go with t-shirts, mugs, hats, key chains, and so much more.

Get out on the water

10:00 am-4:00 pm, Boat House

Take out a sailboat or rowboat and enjoy the Mystic River. Boat rentals are free of charge for Williams-Mystic alumni.

Children's Activities

Enjoy a range of activities, from toy boat-building to Games on the Green; see the Mystic Seaport's activity schedule.

Scholarship silent Auction

10:00 am-6:00 pm, Boat House

Place your bids! 100% of the proceeds directly support scholarships for future students. Please note that the auction closes at 6:00 pm sharp

Behind-the-Scenes Tours of Mayflower II

10:00-11:00 am; meet at the registration tent

Join shipwright Nathan Adams (F'03) for a behind-the-scenes tour of the Mayflower II. 

Shipsmithing Reunion

11:00 am-11:30 am, James Driggs Shipsmith Shop

Stop by the forge to connect with Bill Scheer and shipsmithing students from throughout the years. Bill will be available to work with shipsmithing skills alumni from 9:00 am-3:00 pm. 

Lunch on the Green

11:30 am-1:00 pm, Village Green (rain location: Boat Shed)

Join our Alumni Council as they host a picnic lunch! Bring your own food or purchase at the Galley. Lemonade and water are provided.

Kids'-Eye View of the Morgan and Harpoon-throwing!

11:30 am-12:45 pm, Charles W. Morgan

Bring your children to the Charles W. Morgan to discover life aboard a whaling ship--and try their hand at throwing a harpoon! Supervised and guided by Williams-Mystic alumni.

Maritime Skills Meet-ups: Sea Chanteys

11:30 am-12:15 pm, Boat Shed

Reunite with other chantey skills students and museum chanteymen and -women and join in; the group will learn a chantey to perform after dinner and the silent auction. 

Glenn Gordinier's Campus Tour

12:30-1:15 pm, gazebo on the Village Green

Visit familiar sites and learn about Williams-Mystic's expanded campus with maritime history professor Glenn Gordinier. You won't want to miss Glenn's last tour before he retires! 

Alumni Panel Honoring Glenn Gordinier

1:30-2:30 pm, Greenmanville Church

Celebrate Glenn's 29 years with Williams-Mystic by gathering to hear presentations from Amy Bass S'91, Cipperly Good F'98, and Randi Flaherty F'01, whose work is inspired by Glenn's teaching.  

Snack Time!

2:30-3:00 pm, Village Green 

Join Williams-Mystic faculty and staff as they roll out a classic field seminar spread to keep you going through the afternoon. Remember: we're just killing time between meals and there's always room in the esophagus!

Whaleboat Races

3:00 pm, Middle Wharf

Gather a team of six before you arrive or join a team when you get there! You are required to sign up no later than noon on Saturday; you can do so when you register online or at the registration table.

Fish Tales: A Williams-Mystic StorySlam

4:00-4:45 pm, Greenmanville Church

Come hear alumni from our 40-year history each share an unscripted, three-minute story about their time at Williams-Mystic or what resulted from it. Themes may include: At Sea, O'Dark Thirty, Sea Sickness, On the Museum Grounds, Life on the Road, Killing Time Between Meals, and many more that connect the Williams-Mystic experience across the years. 

Want to give it a shot? There will be 'open mic' slots at the end for those so inspired.

Dyer Dhow Race

11:00 am, Mystic Seaport Sailing Center (formerly Youth Training Building (YTB))

Race against your fellow alumni in Dyer Dhows, or simply cheer on your shipmates. Please register in advance when you register online or stop by the registration table.
