Choose from alumni volunteer-led activities such as a sunset paddle, open mic on the Morgan, or downtown meetup. Please note that even if you’ve already signed up for the weekend, you’ll need to RSVP for Friday night activities separately. Have questions? Saturday, July 13
9:30 am–4 pm, Inside the Visitor Reception Center (VRC), South Gate
Stop by to pick up your weekend packet. While you’re here, sign up for behind-the-scenes tours, or Sunday’s ride on the Sabino!
Get Out on the Water
10 am–4 pm, Boat House
Take out a sailboat or rowboat and enjoy the Mystic River. Boat rentals are free of charge for Williams-Mystic alumni.
10 am–4 pm, various locations
Enjoy a range of activities, from toy-boat building to games on the green. Consult Mystic Seaport Museum’s activity schedule for the details.
Shipsmithing with Bill Scheer
Throughout the day, James Driggs Shipsmith Shop
Calling all shipsmiths! If you have done shipsmithing before, you are invited to stop by the Driggs Shipsmith Shop at any point throughout the morning or afternoon to join longtime instructor Bill Scheer at the forge. If you would like to do so, make sure to wear long pants and close-toed shoes with socks.
Scholarship Silent Auction
10 am–6 pm, Australia Boatshed
Place your bids! 100% of the proceeds directly support scholarships for future students. Auction closes at 6 pm sharp.
Behind-the-Scenes Tour of the Shipyard
11–12 pm, meet at the Registration Table in the Visitor Reception Center
Join us for a behind-the-scenes tour of the shipyard including updates on the Mayflower II!
Lunch on the Green
11:30 am–12:30 pm Village Green (rain location: Boat Shed)
Join our Alumni Council as they host a picnic lunch! Bring your own food and beverages or purchase at the Galley. Come meet up with old friends and new.
Time scales of Ocean Change and Program Update
12:45–2 pm, James T. Carlton Marine Science Center
What is the right time horizon for thinking about how our oceans our changing – and how we might change our oceans for the better? Whether you think about this question all the time or are just curious, come join this interactive, engaging session with Professor Lisa Gilbert. Then, hear the latest program news from Executive Director Tom Van Winkle.

Make new connections with alumni from all class years! Whatever your career path, we hope you’ll join us in Labaree to celebrate the connectedness of the Williams-Mystic community.
Snack and Swag
2-4 pm, Labaree House
Join us as we do what Williams-Mystic does best… eat! We’ll have cookies and lemonade available for the taking. Also, this is your only chance to buy some great new swag. Give it as gifts! Keep it for yourself! We all love things with the Williams-Mystic logo in it!
3 pm, Middle Wharf
Gather a team of six before you arrive or join a team when you get here. Come ready to "Pull, pull, my fine hearts-alive!”.
Anniversary Year Class Photos

Kids’ Planetarium Show (and more fun)!
6:45–9 pm, Children’s Museum
All are invited to bring kids three years old and older (younger children welcome if potty-trained) to the Children’s Museum after dinner for a special Planetarium Show (7pm) and other fun! Pickup is at the Howell & Campbell Classrooms (below the Planetarium) no later than 9 pm.

Cruise aboard the historic Steamship Sabino
12:30–2 pm, Sabino Dock, $5
Sleep in or enjoy a morning in Mystic then join us for a downriver cruise along the Mystic River Estuary on the Seaport’s historic steamship. Sign up when you register for alumni weekend or at the registration table on Sunday to join us.
